How My Practice Works

Policies & Procedures

When we work together, you agree to the following policies and procedures.

Appointments

All sessions are by appointment only. The fastest way to reserve a time is to book online. You may also text or call 360-306-0191 or email welcome@healingwithlindsey.com — text and email are usually the quickest ways to reach me. Please do not arrive unexpectedly or enter if the office door is closed unless I have confirmed that I am ready for you. Arriving 5–10 minutes early lets us begin on time and unhurried.

Deposits & Confirmations

A non-refundable $30 deposit is required for each appointment booked online. This deposit is applied to the total cost of your service and is not an additional charge. A credit card is kept securely on file for deposits, late cancellations, and no-shows.

If you cancel or reschedule, a new deposit is required for the new appointment. Cancellation fees may also apply when less than 48 hours' notice is given.

I do not see your full credit card number — only limited receipt-style information, such as the last four digits.

Insurance & Massage

Bowen therapy and Reiki are not covered by insurance. Due to a recent injury, I am not currently practicing massage therapy, which is covered by insurance. However, I can refer you to another massage therapist in your network if one is available.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

Please give as much notice as possible when changing an appointment. Fees are charged to the card on file and help protect limited appointment availability.

  • 48+ hours' notice: no cancellation fee; practitioner retains the $30 deposit already paid.
  • Less than 48 hours' notice: $50 fee, minus the $30 deposit already paid.
  • Less than 24 hours' notice: $80 fee, minus the $30 deposit already paid.
  • Same-day cancellation: full cost of the scheduled service, minus the $30 deposit already paid.
  • No-show: full cost of the scheduled service, minus the $30 deposit already paid.

A client is considered a no-show if they have not arrived or contacted me within 15 minutes of the appointment start time. If you are running more than 10 minutes late, please text me as soon as possible. I may still be able to provide the remaining time in your session, but full payment is still due.

If you are sick or potentially contagious, we must reschedule. Please let me know as early as possible. Same-day illness may still be subject to a fee. If I must cancel or reschedule for reasons other than unsafe weather, your rescheduled appointment will be discounted.

Hours, Parking & Arrival

I am currently available by appointment only on Saturdays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. I am closed on major holidays and may reschedule in unsafe weather.

I am located in South Bay Suites at 1140 10th Street, Suite #214, Bellingham, WA 98225. Map and directions are available here. Paid street parking is available throughout Fairhaven.

Accessible parking is available near Village Books and closer still kitty-corner from South Bay Suites. The building has an elevator, seating, and clean bathrooms. The treatment room includes seating, space for personal items, an extra-wide heated massage table, bolsters, pillows, hypoallergenic oils, and hypoallergenic linen detergent. There is air conditioning and heat.

When you arrive, please wait in your car, nearby in Fairhaven, or on the bench outside the upstairs hallway doors until I text that I am ready. The upstairs double doors are often locked, so I will let you in.

At the start of your appointment, we will review your goals and treatment plan. New clients will sign an informed consent form confirming they have read and agree to these policies.

Payment, Gratuity & Insurance

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept cash, personal checks, U.S.-issued credit cards, and tap payments. I can also email an invoice or charge the card on file.

Tips are never required or expected. They are always appreciated, but if you wish to support my business, reviews on Facebook or Google — as well as referrals — really help me grow my business and expand my schedule.

Scope of Practice

I am a licensed massage therapist, Bowenwork practitioner, and Reiki Master. My work supports relaxation, comfort, soft tissue health, and mind-body-spirit balance. I do not diagnose, prescribe, perform skeletal adjustments, or treat specific medical conditions without written permission from your doctor. If I believe you should be evaluated by another provider, I will refer you appropriately.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to me. I collect the information needed to provide safe care, communicate with you, process payments or insurance claims, and maintain professional records. This may include contact information, health history, treatment goals, insurance billing details, session notes, and progress notes.

Only I have access to client intake forms, records, and treatment notes. My accountant may access financial reports, transactions, and client names for bookkeeping only, but does not access health records, claims details, treatment notes, or full credit card numbers. They have agreed to and signed the required HIPAA documents.

Digital records are stored securely through HIPAA-compliant software, and paper records are locked in physical storage. Credit and debit card payments are processed through Jane App's secure payment system; I do not store or see your full card number.

I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for marketing. I will only disclose information with your written consent unless required by law, such as abuse reporting, legal subpoena, or serious safety concerns.

You may request a copy of your records, ask for corrections, request limits on how information is used or shared, or withdraw consent in writing, with certain exceptions.

Be aware that email and text may not be encrypted — be mindful when sharing personal information electronically. Questions about privacy are welcome at welcome@healingwithlindsey.com or 360-306-0191.

Qualifications

Lindsey Frazier, LMT BA, is a Washington State Licensed Massage Therapist, Registered Bowenwork® Practitioner, and Reiki Master. I regularly maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification and participate in continuing education to support safe, ethical, high-quality care.

Additional background includes graduation from the Massage Practitioner Program at Whatcom Community College, membership in the American Massage Therapy Association and American Bowen Academy, and a B.A. in East Asian Studies and Japanese Language from Western Washington University.

Minors

Clients under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a consent-to-treat form before the first session. A guardian is always welcome in the room and is required for clients under 10. If a guardian is not in the room, they must remain nearby in the building and be reachable.

Sanitation, Attire & Draping

For Bowenwork and Reiki, you may wear whatever feels comfortable unless we discuss specific clothing for a treatment. Reiki does not require dressing down. For Bowenwork, lighter clothing and bare skin may allow better access, but your comfort guides the session.

Mutual Respect

Your comfort, privacy, and consent guide every session. You're always welcome to adjust pressure, take a break, or share what is and isn't working for you. I maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements unless disclosure is required by law or needed for public safety. I do not unjustly discriminate against anyone.

I reserve the right to refuse treatment or avoid any area of the body for just and reasonable cause. Clients are responsible for sharing accurate health information and updates about medications, conditions, injuries, or treatments so we can work together safely.
